Generations of Scots wonky collide music fast and easy

Edinburgh techno veteran Landstrumm’s recent ‘Lord For Ј39′album was a masterpiece of hard, off-beam bass music, and this companion piece continues that. Mixing low ‘n’ slow booty bass with dubstep’s sonics and psychedelic industrial synth-wrangling, and including a remix of Glasgow wonky youngster Rustie’s ‘Jagz The Smack’, it shows how experimentalism and party-rocking are not only compatible but entirely complimentary.

It’s really good and all, but a bit conservative compared to the madness of a Flying Lotus live show.
